I’ve been hanging out for September like you wouldn’t believe. On the 21st I’ll be taking up my artist in residence at Birrarung House. You might remember Jessie Imam artist/taxidermist/all round talented young person, who I visited there some months ago during her residency.  While I was there this old leather bag screamed out as a photo oppportunity.  I’m expecting that the blogging and photo opportunities during my residency will be some of the best fun I’ve had so far with Isiiad!

Besides reading those posts, I’ve devised a cunning plan to involve some of my dear readers in my artist in residence experience.  On the 25th of September 2pm-5pm (a Sunday) I will be opening the studio up to others for a life drawing session with the lovely Alex as the model. (I’m reliably informed by insiders at the Dunmoochin Life Drawing that Alex is a knockout model.) The deal is that you bring all of your own materials and kick in $15 to cover the cost of the model.  No experience is necessary. A platter of yummy nibblies will be provided. (I’m a legendary ‘platter maker’!).  Some drink will be provided but feel free to bring a bottle if you would like to enjoy a glass of wine with your nibblies. Expect to be inspired by the great bush setting and enjoy the company of other creative people. Places are limited so booking is essential.  Please contact Jane Woollard from the Nillumbik Shire by This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
